why i am running

I was born and raised in Jackson and am a proud product of Jackson Public Schools and an esteemed alum of the historical Piney Woods Country Life School. Raised by a single parent until age fourteen, and later raised by my seventh grade reading teacher and her husband from then until law school, I know and understand the importance of keeping children and families safe, secure and stable. I am now a foster mom of two beautiful girls, and as an Assistant District Attorney, I am doing just that. I fight daily to ensure victims of sex crimes, home invasions, and murders receive safety, security and justice. 

My dedication to the people began at Morgan & Morgan, defending the rights of injured workers. My dedication continued when I opened my own law practice. It was in my own law practice that I fought for children and families in many chancery courts, throughout the state of Mississippi. I know and understand the needs of children and families.

I am an experienced trial attorney, who solves problems for children and families.   Fighting for them in cases such as divorce, child support, child custody, and adoption/guardianship is not easy. These cases require commitment, fairness, and compassion. My commitment to children and families is why I am running for Hinds County Chancery Court Judge.
